Nik Smith is the Executive Vice President and General Manager of Slingshot International. Slingshot Aerospace is the global leader in Space Operations Intelligence and Autonomy (SOIA), delivering mission‑critical space data, space traffic coordination, and advanced modeling and simulation capabilities that help commercial operators, space agencies, and defense organizations enhance spaceflight safety, strengthen space security, and optimize orbital operations.

As General Manager of Slingshot International, Nik leads all company activities outside the United States and Canada, ensuring the delivery of world-class data, insights, and innovative solutions tailored to the evolving needs of international customers. Slingshot International is purpose-built to support the operational and assurance requirements of global partners.

A 16-year Royal Air Force veteran, Nik brings extensive experience across space, cyber, intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance (ISR), capability development, and operational planning. His early career included operational responsibility for the UK’s Skynet military satellite communications constellation, followed by senior roles in planning, acquisition, and international engagement, culminating in a final tour at the British Embassy in Washington, D.C.

Following his military service, Nik joined Lockheed Martin Space, where he led strategy and growth initiatives across the UK and Europe. He served on the Lockheed Martin UK Executive Leadership Team and Board of Directors prior to joining Slingshot Aerospace in February 2026.
