Dr Dylan Browne

Dr Dylan Browne was officially appointed as General Manager of the NATO Communications and

Information Agency (NCIA) on 12 December 2025.

Prior to joining NCIA, Dr Browne served as a Senior Executive at Amazon, where he led the Kuiper Satellite Broadband Programme’s Mobility Sector as its single-threaded owner. In this capacity, he shaped business and engineering strategy, driving growth and delivering next-generation satellite connectivity solutions integrated with cloud-based workloads and technology platforms. His leadership extended to the delivery of advanced IT and communications equipment into critical infrastructure sectors, including aviation, offshore energy and automotive and industrial machinery, enabling secure, resilient and high-performance edge connectivity in some of the world’s most demanding operating environments.

Before joining Amazon, he held senior executive positions at OneWeb, a leading low-Earth orbit satellite operator, and at Airbus Defence and Space, where he served as Corporate Vice President for Business Growth.

Throughout his career, Dr Browne has combined deep technical expertise with a customer-driven approach to innovation and venture building. He founded and scaled several early-stage businesses, including the Satellite Exchange, which he successfully sold to Airbus in 2007.

He began his career at the European Space Agency, contributing to pioneering satellite missions that shaped the future of global space technology.

He holds a Master of Business Administration from London Business School and a Doctorate in Engineering Management from The George Washington University.
