A Scottish inventor, entrepreneur and technologist known for founding Space Aye, a space technology company that fuses real-time satellite imagery with Internet of Things (IoT) data. His team have coined the phrase “Large Terrestrial Model” which will enable a new and proprietary training data set, transforming the next generation of Artificial Intelligence World or Physical models.

Chris launched Space Aye to emphasise the potential for satellite technology to address challenges such as wildfires, deforestation, human trafficking, and emergency response coordination. The ability to identify the responders and their vehicles, not just the fire, is game changing.

He was the Co-Chair of the Open Geospatial Consortium’s UK & Ireland Forum. Through Space Aye’s unique technological advancements, utilising their patents, granted in 45 countries, the company holds the unique key in identifying assets and people (via IoT data), in real-time satellite imagery.

The Scottish Government awarded him the title of Global Scot, he’s is an affiliate member of the Scotland International Space Advisory Committee (SISAC), and a  member of the  the World Economic Forum.

As a keynote speaker, he has headlined at The Economist’s Space Economy Summit, The European Technology Summit, SuperNova and IOT Tech Expo. He has been a regular contributor to the likes of the BBC, Sky News & CNBC on the subject of the commercialisation of space.

USA Today classified him as one of the world’s top 5 Visionary Speakers Who Lead with Impact in 2025. In December 2021 Chris was recognized as one of the top 10 space entrepreneurs in the world by TechRound as well as a TechStar of 2025 by Geekwire.
