I am Chief Systems Engineer with 39 years of experience in the Defence and Security Sector, which has included Procurement, Research and Consulting within the UK Ministry of Defence, Dstl and QinetiQ.

I joined Dstl in 2004 and I have been an Operational Analyst, Systems Engineer and Technical Consultant. I was the Theme Advisor for Combat Identification, leading BOLD QUEST analysis in 2008-11 and currently work in the Digital Advantage C4ISR Delivery Team as the Principal Advisor for MilSatCom.

My role includes leading national and international MilSatCom research activities, and providing support to the Skynet 6 and the Future Combat Air System (FCAS) programmes; UK Cyber and Specialist Operations Command; and UK Space Command.

My main areas of interest include Satellite Communications Hybrid Networks, Space Based Data Services, uture MilSatCom bearers, secure waveforms, 5/6G NTN, space platform protection, and space industrial policy.
