Gp Capt Ben Sharp
Director Space ISR programme, UK Space Command
Group Captain Ben Sharp has been an officer in the Royal Air Force since 2002. He has served around the world, leading teams to provide communication services that have enabled British military operations. More recently, he has been overseeing the development, delivery and operation of space systems for the Ministry of Defence, becoming one of the first people to join UK Space Command when it formed in 2021. He is currently the director of Defence’s Space Based Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance programme. Ben is a Fellow of the Institute of Engineering & Technology, a trustee of two Christian charities and a proud father of two.
