Doug Aiken
VP and General Manager Government PNT, Iridium
Doug Aiken is the Vice President and General Manager of Government PNT in the Position, Navigation, and Timing (PNT) Division at Iridium. In this role, he is responsible for all programs and business development for government applications of PNT throughout U.S. and international markets. He has a proven track record with over 25 years of experience in program management, business development, proposal writing and capture, and corporate strategy. Doug specializes in Government programs and pursuits for advanced technology solutions.
Doug joined Iridium in April 2024 through the acquisition of Satelles, which provides global Low Earth Orbit (LEO) PNT using the Iridium constellation. At Satelles, he was the Vice President and General Manager for the National Defense and Security business unit. Prior to his role at Satelles, he performed various engineering and senior management roles at Boeing and General Atomics Aeronautical Systems. Doug has a strong leadership history across advanced technology programs and was named the Aviation Week Program Excellence Award winner for Program Management in 2017.
He has a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of New Mexico, an M.S. in Systems Engineering from the University of Southern California, and an MBA from the University of California, Irvine
